Tune: Fulda
('We have a gospel to proclaim')
Based on a prayer by Thomas á Kempis (15th Century)
************
In confidence of your goodness
And great mercy, O Lord, me bless
I draw near to you, healing need
You our healer, your sheep you feed
I come as one hungry, thirsty
To you, fountain of life you be
I come as a creature unto
You great Creator, only you
I come as a desolate soul
Tou you, who I trust make me whole
You my tender comforter here
Your consolation to me dear
Behold, in you is all whate'er
I can or ought to desire, ne'er
Forsake me, you my salvation
And redemption, you e'er God's Son
You too my hope and strength, make glad
The soul of me your servant, sad
I shall not there remain, to you
I lift my soul, Lord, me renew

You clearly get great comfort yourself from your faith ..
Thanks N. Sounds bit strange saying 'You creature, you...' If said in a negative sense, it could refer to some monster - such as KP! lol.
Same with hymns? Do you reach maturity at 18, or must you wait 'til 21?
Thanks Dave. lol.
As one of his sheep I love lamb chops does that make me a cannibal? Good write Orchi
