A Feeling Found On a Hillside in Rio
When we climbed
down into
the great pyramid
at Giza
it was really like
something
else now, wasn’t it ..
And then,
to the very top
of Sigiriya, like wow ..
But there
can be no doubt we
all came
closest to the son of
our maker ..
When we found him
and felt Christ,
on some hillside in Rio ..

I felt a presence - of a trout. You know who I mean! lol.
Should it be Giza?!
It's educational on 'ere ya know. I will soon increase from 3 to 4 guinea pig brain cells. They know more than me - the real piggies.
I stand corrected .. thank you ..
I thought you would say - thanks Geezer! lol.
Exhilarating! Gives a feel of transcendence.
I am certain that I felt something I had not until then, felt before .. thanks for checking in arqios
Been a while mate. Allβs good your way, Iβm reckoning.
Everything is fine ta .. hope life is being kind to you n yours too
Bit of a challenge the start of the year was but weβll get out of the woods yet. Unless it proves to be splendid with Red Riding Hood on top of her game!
Wow. Very powerful work.
Thanks Tom .. there have been one or two others that sent a shiver up n down my spine .. Neville
There are those moments in life when you're struck by something inexplicible, and you feel you're the only person on the face of the earth that knows something wonderful. Lucky you my friend, you've taken an experience and given us something "wonderful".
I really can't thank you enough for the insight, the associated understanding and the heart-warming comment you have left here for me Bella .. but I really do .. Neville
Only once before have I felt the feeling you describe, But still unlike that of mine. I'd love to have been there with you when you felt this one. Must have been amazing. ππ
it was amazing my friend .. there have been other times to be fair (probably less than a handful) and without necessarily any religious foundation or connotation .. The Menin Gate at 20.00hrs, Lourdes, visiting the Commonwealth War Graves at dawn, stumbling upon Deeley Plaza in Dallas .. and a couple of wink wink ones .. Thanks for sharing this particular moment mate .. Neville
I completely understand Neville, many years ago when my Christianity was with me some members of my church went to Iona, one day we went for a walk round the Island and we ended up in St Oran's Chapel and I know that I was touched by God there.
My christianity has gone now as has the belief in any organised religions but I know that my god is with me.
Andy
.................................... Amen Andy .. & thank you sir ππ
Must have been a sight to see that statue that just is something incredible, not to mention the work that went into getting it there. A true site a view as spectacular and so unique of Rio. πΉ
You can't miss it .. and I climbed to the very top on my birthday πΉ
