Apathy Rules Okay

Neville

Apathy Rules Okay

I am now

long enough lived

not to worry

the machine breathes

and my

very own species

has stopped

believing and feeling

or asking

the question why ..

All such

things are now an

almighty irrelevance ..

But I steadfastly

refuse to bow down

and succumb

to such universal

collective incompetence ..

You wouldn't believe that I was just right now thinking the same thing, it's become acceptable everything. Dog killings acid throwing, war I could go on but I've just upset myself thinking on this. Things aren't that great here in italy either. ๐ŸŒน

If life was once โ€˜nasty, brutish and shortโ€™ - today we can thank modern medicine for prolonging the agony.
But even if I make allowance for a slightly embittered view of the world which comes with old age, I do believe that for some of us, in the western world life forty plus years ago was better, more just and free than right now.
              Great write, Neville.

Imagine if you will, that global ignorance was excruciatingly painful. Might we then as a society, then finally get the message? Excellent penmanship N. ๐Ÿ˜‰
