Just Judgements

Tune: Church Triumphant

('The Lord is King, lift up thy voice')

Psalm 75 parts

********

To you, O God, do we thanks give

You are the Lord, you ever live

How do we know your name is near?

'Tis that your wondrous works are here

The Lord says to fools*, O be wise (*boastful)

Your ways to me are no surprise

And to the wicked He does say

Be not haughty or proud today

For promotion, exaltation

Of any one, any nation

Comes not from east, west, south, or north

But from God the Judge it comes forth

Yes, He the Judge, He does put down

One, even one of high renown

And sets up another, does raise

One up, e'en humble in his/her ways

I will sing, praise to Him declare

For ever, He is just and fair

Strength of the wicked shall be gone

But righteous exalted, each one

This the Lord's doing, He Judge, King

Unto Him we our worship bring

He Omnipotent, Almighty

Eternally His reign shall be
