Committed Calling

Tune: Moscow (or 'Italian Hymn')

('Thou whose Almighty word')

Psalm 86 v.6-10

******

Give ear, O Lord, to me

Look on me, here me see

Praying simply

Attend unto the voice

Of my prayer, you my choice

For you will me answer

I trust for sure

In day of my trouble

I shall trust to you all

And on you call

Among the gods there are

None like you, for by far

You do them all excel

O Lord, I tell

Neither are there any

Works like yours, none there be

To compare, see

All nations you have made

View your wonders displayed

They shall come, worship you

Holy and true

And they shall glorify

Your name, shall know you nigh

Not you deny

For you are great and do

Wondrous things not a few

You are God alone e'er

Faith that help will come is what keeps us going on. So true Orchi. Good write.

Thanks SB. Yep, faith from OUR pockets, says that church in me poem yesterday! I still need a hat. lol.
A daft tale. I did not put any in the collection. They asked, Why not? I said 'I'm giving by faith; you can't see it yet; I just gave an invisible £10,000! or $10,000.' heehee.

        • sorenbarrett

Is that the same faith that Christ said took care of the Lilies and the birds of the air?

          • orchidee

Erm, it's the sort of faith that's in our pockets, I expect! lol.

            Was that 10%?
            Don't forget the building fund,
            Vision Sunday, more to come.

            Love the truth.

Thanks 2. As in my poem - nope, it's 10% PLUS more donations. Bit aft having 2 collections in same service, if we've just given the dough (cash) in the first collection.
The dreaded 'Gift Sundays' too. So I said 'What gift ya gonna give ME?!' heehee.
