Another thunderstorm bucketed down
As someone called Taylor crept into town.
Sydney is very clean after much rain,
But I’m staying home – I can’t stand the strain.

I've never tried couplet myself looks really fun. What I see is loads of imagery and great rhyme. We have a bad windy storm here too today. Most enjoyed Dave. 🌹

I will admit that this one went right over my head, because in Europe it is how they announce a storm, but now I see it was about Taylor swift I was convinced it was about the weather lol you got me good. And yes she will take Sydney by storm.

Love the rhyme, and love the reason. I don't quite understand the hoopla, but then I had the Beatles, which my parents couldn't understand. Such a fun write my friend!
Hoopla doesn't begin to describe it, Bella ..... and all those young girls....wonder what all the young lads are doing right now...🥹.
Re the Beatles - dropped them after 'I don't care too much for money" and didn't return until 'Imagine'. Pause for thought: Read somewhere that Mark David Chapman also didn't like "I don't care...." Can't say I felt wonderful when I heard that.
So nice to share my friend. Hope you have the greatest of days, in spite of the Swifties. It is a literal infestation here.

Couplets my friend. Well when Taylor came down here a girl dropped dead. They had to postpone the concert and people were upset. I know the name and have heard some of her songs but they are not my cup of tea. Loved this write Dave.
