Desirous Dwelling

Tune: Wiltshire

('Through all the changing scene of life')

Psalm 102 v.12-16

*********

You, O Lord, shall endure ever

Your years shall cease never

You shall be remembered through all

Generations great, small

You have arisen, have mercy

On Zion, it you see

For the time of her favour is

Come, 'tis appointed this

For your servants do take pleasure

In her stones, her treasure

Even the dust is precious for

You inhabit there sure

So the nations shall your name fear

Shall reverence you here

The name of the Lord, people too

Shall worship you anew

When the Lord His dwelling uptakes

He shall appear, He makes

His glory seen, it the city

Zion His choice, so be

Is that estate agent going to sell me a decent dwelling at a knock down price or wot?

You know I went to a church once that was trying to sell its parishioners houses in heaven and if you didn't have enough money for a house you could buy a chair, the more you paid the closer to God you could sit. I used to bank with Zion's bank and that's for real. Great write Orchi

Doh! Thanks SB. A lady at a church, true, has a very 'money-name': Penny Money-Coutts (Coutts is the name of The Bank of the King and Queen and others, I think, in UK).

We have an incredible National Park named Zion. "The first European American settlers, Mormon pioneers, arrived in the area in the late 1800s. They named the area Zion, which is ancient Hebrew for “sanctuary” or “refuge.” The deep and spectacular canyons of this protected portion of the Virgin River Valley truly offer a safe haven to wildlife and humans alike". Now that you've had your geography/history lesson, let me say that it is heavenly, and God did some of his most spectacular work there. Beautiful Orchi!

Thanks B. I quite like geography. I had one of favourite teachers at school for my geog. classes.
