For All Those Once Beautiful
For those of us
once beautiful ..
Remember this,
we were
only beautiful
for a moment
at the very most ..
And whilst
I know I’m not
as pretty as
I once used to be ..
Let’s drink
a toast to beauty
lost along the way ..

Youth thankfully does not define beauty. There is beauty everywhere for those who look and inner beauty lasts forever. What’s more I recognize it when I come across it.
