James' practicality

In all events of life, see

Asks who are the wise midst you?

Who has knowledge too?

 

Let such show good way of life

Not bitter envy or strife

But show works from wisdom meek

Ever the Lord seek

 

Wisdom with that envy, strife

Is not true to godly life

Glory not if having this

Never promotes bliss

 

Earthly, sensual, devilish

Is such wisdom, no relish

There confusion, works evil

Such shall fail and fall

 

But the wisdom from above

Given to us in God's love

Is pure, peaceable, and calm

Wholly free from harm

 

And too gentle, easily

To be entreated, such be

Without partiality

No hypocrisy

 

And the fruit of righteousness

Is shown by such who do bless

Sown in peace of them that make

Peace for the Lord's sake

      Poetic language leaves me for...... while hymn stuff leaves me floundering ....(Your answer should contain no reference to KP in any shape or form. Such a transgression, and I will surely pull the plug.)

              Thanks C. You'll get there's surely, as long as it's not 'earthly, sensual, devilish' wisdom! Ooh! James is quite blunt here, and sensual wisdom brings on a swoon in me! lol.
