Take me to the ocean.

Let me hear the crashing waves.

Let me smell the ozone breezes.

Let me feel the onrush of their wind.

Let me taste the salty wetness.

Let me see the sunrise on the horizon.

 

Walk with me on the shore.

Let us feel the sand beneath our feet.

Let me make you laugh with senseless jokes.

Let me touch your wind-blown hair.

Let us entwine closely for warmth.

Let us gaze upon the rising sun.

 

Sit with me for a while.

Let me know that you still care.

Let me sense that you love me.

Let me feel the warmth of your closeness.

Let me touch your inner heart.

Let us watch the sunrise o’er the horizon.

 

Dream with me for a moment.

Let me tell you how I feel.

Let me show you all my dreams.

Let me hear the way you feel. 

Tell me all your dreams.

Let us swear our love on the morning’s break.

 

Stay with me a while longer.

You know how I feel about you.

You heard me say,” I love you.”

You felt something too, I know it.

You can't be leaving forever.

You’ve made this the worst day of my life.

    Yeh – another love poem; a form I can have a certain antipathy towards because of this allergy of mine. But yours are the cream on top and provided I taste them carefully, the reaction is not too profound and by the end quite satisfying.
    I felt that to be a good ‘un, Phil.

    this may be another love poem, but who on earth is gonna complain about that ..
    I sure aint and I doubt anyone who passes by this way will either .. I was hooked from the start and that unexpected summative line at the end not only landed me, it left me feeling gutted .. I am so glad you are back Phil .. Neville

    Such emotion and then to the last lines, love is everything and is written in each of our souls. I cannot help but think I have read this one before. It's beautiful showing a gentleman has a heart. 🌹
