The Great Journey Home

Teddy.15

In the arms of an Angel
I fly with her tonight
from this cold heartless world
on my most important flight

a journey where rivers flow silent
no more the tides of endless grief
tumbling onto a path of light
my heart and soul can finally breath

dense hope abandoned
a fugitive of my own spirit
soul ravaged by uncertain roads
to find some kind of peace

in the arms of my Angel…

give my aching heart release.

Now Teddy this could be the last goodbye from one departing or just the acknowledgment of a dream coming on. Beautiful and serene in any sense, hope it's the latter.

        • Teddy.15

Definately not as smart to say goodbye in an angel poem dear sorrenbarret, no ๐Ÿคฃ I'm staying put. lol thank you. ๐ŸŒน

Your poem tenderly expresses a longing for solace and peace. The imagery of flying with an angel away from a harsh world evokes a sense of seeking refuge and comfort. It beautifully portrays a heartfelt desire for release and tranquility. Well done!

          • Teddy.15

Thank you so much dear Cloie, that was what I was hoping you would find. She's pretty special. ๐ŸŒน

Your words dear Teddy are beautiful. I have no interest either in organized religion, but everyone needs a guardian Angel looking after them. I sincerely hope my mum had one guiding her into the spirit world when she passed. Your lovely poem created light and peace. I thank you for that. Hope your Thursday has been a happy one. ๐Ÿ’

Thank you so much dear Cassie58, I have no doubt your beautiful mum had hers with her. ๐ŸŒน โค๏ธ I am truly grateful that you saw this the exact way I was hoping it would read.

This wonderfulpoem evokes such sweet memories. As a child, there hung next to my bed a picture of a guardian angel, with arms spread over a child, and a traditional prayer printed beneath. I'm so glad you have those protective arms around you, such solice in a troubled world. Beautifully and lovingly written dear friend!

              • Teddy.15

Thank you so much my dear Bella, you have those guardians arms around you too. ๐ŸŒน

Yes, Teddy - this is one I've been meaning to engage with you over a rather long time (Not seeking argument here, just....)
I too, no interest in religion, and so cannot cop an angel with all it's associations.
My fantasy is a vast cosmic game, analogous to one of those MMORPG computer things, and a controller with a brief to give me chances with only limited intervention, but from time to time, oh what interventions!

                    • Teddy.15

Thank you dear Dave. Such a thoughtful review I wondered when you would come by this one. Only those touched by an angel will know it. Maybe they come to the less strong. I never did ask. But yes I do associate them as non religious figures ๐ŸŒน

                      • Doggerel Dave

Stay with it, Teddy. In the end......๐Ÿ‘either way.
