The Difference in Our Similarities

The Difference in Our Similarities

aliens, sasquatch,

fairies,

ghouls, ghosts

and me

all have at least

two things

in common ..

among which are

an intense,

shared

fear and mutual

contempt for

almost everything

human ..

except for poetry ..

we all have

a thing about poetry ..

A very provocative write N, two thumbs up from me. πŸ‘πŸ‘ If I may, I'd like to add Angels to that list. Or at least to my own list. And I have to wonder, if all these beings could write poetry, how interesting that would be. πŸ€”

After this my next poem has to be: The similarities in our differences. You knew it!

            • Neville

I shall no doubt read it, so it makes no difference at all to me what you call it ..

This is such a fun and imaginative piece! I love how you've brought together these mythical beings and yourself in such a lighthearted way. It's like a whimsical journey through the shared quirks and interests of the supernatural world. And the nod to poetry as the common thread among us adds a delightful twist! Great job capturing the playful side of storytelling.

              • Neville

I really do appreciate the fact you have taken time to consider my little scribble Cloie .. bless you πŸ™‚

Oh the power of poetry:) What strength it has to unite. A fun write Neville. Always celebrate the similarities. I can’t believe you are an old grouch. Those fears and contempt of almost everything human:)) That needs intervention :)) Hope your Thursday has been happy and productive my friend.

                • Neville

The beauty of poetry takes us to a different plane, away from the all too human foibles of life. That "thing about poetry" is unique, as is the poet that perceives it. Loved the write!

loved the visit .. & welcome any time day or night .. πŸ’›

If all these fabled creatures were authors, they would be ruined by Hollywood. Yeti Jr. writes, "My Life with Papa" and gets $50 million from Universal.
Your poem is direct and to the point. Poetry is what binds us as we share our thoughts and experiences. Perhaps it is the glue for mankind, - Phil A.

                    • Neville

I have absolutely no doubt you are write Phil such cohesive adhesive as provided by poetry is indeed the glue that bonds friendships & brotherhoods around the globe more firmly than super glue .. Neville

It's not poetry per se, but yer content wot counts.....

                        • Neville
