Over the garden wall
“Ah, there she be
my lovely garden.
And somewhere out there
over the garden wall
lives the girl I love.
Perhaps within the village
or closer to the big city.
Possibly she has a place by the sea?
Ah, the Daffodils are blooming
the lovely Pinks,, Primrose,
and Marigolds are coming.
I think I’ll put the new Roses
over there by the Clematis.
She will love the roses.
They’ll surely cheer her up
when she sees them.
I think my pathway
needs some straightening up.
The birdbath needs water.
I wonder how she’s been getting on?
Probably, still not feeling well.
This too shall pass.
After all, she had a lovely wedding.
Shame her groom had to die so soon.
He barely made it out of the church.
Definitely, Roses by the Clematis.
But, only if the warden OKs it."

😅Love commeth in many stripes, Phil. I really enjoyed the garden....... the Love..... well....
Thanks Dave. sometimes love can put you in stripes.
Yes - tho' where I live ( well not exactly where I live, if you don't mind the clarification) all green attire is the go; very harmonious.
I'd say spring is definitely up! lol 🤣 last lines suggest living in very comfy accommodation. Your imagery superb as ever. 🌹 Happy spring dear phil. Daffodil's and all.
Great write Phil, as the warden I will let you grow the roses by the clematis.
