Tune: O Waly Waly
('An upper room did our Lord prepare')
Psalm 103 v.13-18
********
As a father pities his children
So does the Lord pity them then
That fear Him, show awe and reverence
They do His holy presence sense
For He knows our frame, He remembers
That we are dust, though He assures
Us with His help and comforts, our days
Are blessed if settled in His ways
As for mankind, their days are as grass
As flowers of fields in seasons pass
Flourishes for a while, then wind blows
Over them, place gone, none it knows
But the mercy of the Lord it be
From everlastingly constantly
And even unto everlasting
He shall His people good things bring
To they that fear Him, and righteousness
To their descendants, shall them bless
They who obey, and His commands do
They favoured with His life anew
