Greed's contentment

sorenbarrett

Embryonic discomfort grows to action

Brother born comfort turns to laziness

A feather bed leads to the gutter

bug at home craziness

Old forage

Young walk to the fridge

robotic technological porridge

becomes a broken bridge

    I'm probably way off...Communication breakdown

    • sorenbarrett

Thank you so much for your read and comment. As all poems are open to interpretation by the reader it is what you see. The thought in writing was how modern society promotes laziness with technology and expectations for luxury. The only way to ambition and work is through deprivation and hard work.

The new attitude seems to be more for less. That's more money for less work. I believe it ultimately leads to poverty, or worse.
My thoughts were towards the breakdown in real communication that the smart phones have created. (Not sure how I got there!)
You always are a thought provoking read!

We seem to be getting so much lazier with modern technology in our hands soren.

So very powerful dear sorrenbarret we are living in times which have never been seen, computers will eventually be the only thing living. So terrifying 🤗

Thank you Teddy I appreciate the read and understanding words. Yes it seems that we have created through technology a means to our own demise, if not by blowing ourselves up then growing so lazy that we are simply taken out of evolutionary pools or then by creating a new life form that destroys us. Thanks again for the read.
