Once more my lover and I
Walked into the pub
As we do every two weeks,
I ordered my pint of mild
And my lovers coffee,
We sat at our normal table
And we waited.
The others slowly came in,
Ordered their drinks and sat down.
When all were here we started,
Started singing Sea Shanties
And a great time was had,
A time full of songs and laughter.
There were others in the pub,
Others not in the group,
And the great thing was
That we must be getting better,
Better in singing the shanties,
As fewer of them left the pub.

Love this, Andy. And the last line made me smile. I used to play in a ukulele group, and had the same thoughts. We're not driving EVERYONE away. 🙂 and a sea shanty group sounds just brilliant. Cheers, Tom.
Thank you Tom, yes it is such fun to be in this group.

Would they all leave if I was singing too?! lol.
They wouldn't allow you anywhere near Orchi. LOL

Gotta love a Sea Shanty. Perhaps the inn keep has gotten shrewd and locked the door GF?
Yes they are great to sing. He may well have locked the door SC.

Certainly does.

Why is it that such pub stories are so nostalgic and warm in their nature. So well written and laid out Gold. Loved it.
Yes they generally are nostalgic and warm soren, thank you for your thoughts.
Andy
And more and more of the others are joining in the singing, right? 😃
They surely seem to be AP. Thank you.
