Tune: Regent Square
('Light's abode, celestial Salem')
Psalm 146
********
Praise ye the Lord, O my soul praise
Him, and to Him your songs raise
While I live I will praise the Lord
Trusting in Him and His word
I will praise while I have being
Until final breath shall sing
Put not your trust in humankind
Salvation there you not fins
For man lives, then his breath goes forth
When he dies, so goes his worth
Then he has no more human thought
And in vain then he is sought
Hapy are they who do have for
Their help the Lord God for sure
And their hope is in Him, He be
Maker and Creator, see
Of heaven, earth, sea, e'en all things
He truth ever to us brings
He does judgement for the oppressed
Hungry feeds, and they are blessed
He frees prisoners, opens eyes
Of the blind, and too arise
They that are bowed down, for He lifts
Them up, grants righteous good gifts
He protects the needy, and cares
For vulnerable, He shares
With them of His providings, though
Way of wicked he does know
And turns them upside down, and He
The Lord reigns eternally
