Tune: Buckland
('Loving Shepherd of thy sheep')
Luke 22 v.31-34
*********
The Lord said, Simon [Peter], behold
Satan desires, it be told
To have you, that he as wheat
May you sift, shake you complete
But I have prayed for you, see
That your faith fail not but be
Sustained, and when you do turn
Back to me, do of me learn
And strengthen your companions
Your brethren, my daughters, sons
Then Peter did say that day
Lord, I will go in your way
I ready to go with you
To prison, e'en to death too
But Jesus said, I tell you
Peter this you shall not do
For before cockerel shall crow
Mark my words, and them do know
That you shall thrice me deny
That you know me, this no lie

Do you love me more than these?
Thanks 2.
I remember that one (the yarn) from Sunday School, orchi.
Pushed there by my parents in order to allow them some down time (so to speak - is Fido choking at his leash?)
Thanks Dave. Before Fido barks three times......!
Lucky three - somewhere...somehow ... three times?? I'm not too deaf you know....
Good one Orchi..
Thanks Gold.
