Tune: O Waly Waly
('An upper room did our Lord prepare')
John 13 v.1-5
********
Now before the feast of Passover
When Jesus knew His hour sure
Had come, that He should to Father go
He loved His own to the end so
Supper ended, devil already
Put into Judas' heart, so be
To Jesus betray, but this He knew
Who would this treacherous deed do
He knew the Father had given all
Into His hands, obeyed His call
And that He was come from God, and He
Was going back to God, so be
He rose from supper, and His garments
He laid aside, and did then hence
Took a towel, and water in bason
Washed the disciples feet, each one
Give us grace, Lord, so to serve humbly
For your example do we see
Of service to us, your life you gave
All for to from our sins us save

The story is everlasting, and so fitting on this day. What greater sacrifice could there be. Thank you Orchi!
