It was a beautiful morning,
The sun was shining,
The birds were singing,
And there was I walking with nature,
Listing to its symphonic harmony.
As I walked round the lake
The water was sparkling like liquid starlight,
So wonderful to behold.
It was then I saw them,
Sitting together,
Their dogs at their feet.
Utter contentment
Shone through them,
Shone through the four of them.
The flush of youth was long passed,
But from the way they acted
That life had been wondrous.
So that now they were free,
Free to live their lives,
Live their lives in peaceful harmony.
Their dogs were laying quietly,
Laying quietly at their side,
In perfect peace and harmony.
The though struck me,
That is the way,
The way to walk the dogs.

Yes, a lovely scene - in our local park, or round our local lake sometimes too.
Thank you Orchi, much appreciated.

Wonderful write Andy. Satuit is still a year or two away from that point. All he wants is to play, play and play. But I'm about 40 years past that point. 🙄
Thank you.
I am sure Satuit will come to know how to relax before long AP.

Hope I can last that long. 😁
Dear Andy you have an uncanny knack for capturing the sweetest moments in verse, and choosing the perfect music to accompany. Thank you!
You are most kind Beall and I am deeply grateful for your words.

A dog walking exercise even I could manage.
That picture in word-paint should be framed. 👍
So could I nowadays Dave but I seem to be missing a dog so I just stroll with Mary.
