Enlightened

Teddy.15

Where my tears once heavy

are now weightless

it must be because

iv’e shared such grief

in a world that’s

filled with much of its own

i’m now able to walk

when forever before

I was just dragging my feet

on the cobbles of life

almost as if

they were made of stone.

It must be a huge relief to feel some of that heaviness lifting. Grief can certainly weigh you down. This is a beautiful composition Teddy, so well crafted and your posted image looks divine. Have a happy Wednesday dear poet. ๐ŸŒน

Thank you my dear Cassie, grief as I have learned many times now is a long heavy road yet sharing with all of my poetry friends such as you, has opened me to peace and tranquility thank you. ๐ŸŒน

Beautifully stated in poetic style a feeling of relief. Lifted from the darkness of past pain to a higher plain. Liberating and lifting a ray of sunlight. Such nice images.

Thank you so much dear sorrenbarret. ๐ŸŒน

To know that grief is as much a part of life as happiness, Teddy and be able to acknowledge it means you have found liberation and strength.
(Sounds a bit preachy - sorry!)

        • Teddy.15

My dear Dave, it sounds very kind of you that's how it sounds. (wink) I shan't tell a soul. ๐ŸŒนthank you.

Like they say, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. And yes, much you have been through, but Teddy, I believe you to be the strongest woman alive. Very well penned. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

Wow, loved this one, both your poetry and the image (Did you create it?). I shall save this one in my Favs. Thanks for sharing. - Phil A.

Dear Phil, I'm always honoured when you come by to say how much you enjoyed my writing. I create the words but not the art, although easy to find on the internet, I'm not sure if it's Google Europe that allows me such amazing choice but I always try to use the art to the best of my ability I do however have many photos that I've taken like this one. Thank you Sir I'm humbled by your kind words. ๐ŸŒน

The human spirit endures grief and at the same time has the capacity to restore and make whole again. Your poem speaks volumes to this wonder. Beautifully written from the heart!

Thank you so much dear Bella. ๐ŸŒน
