Tune: Galilee
('Jesus calls us o'er the tumult')
Psalm 106 v.43-48
*******
Many times the Lord delivered
His people, to their aid stirred
But they with their counsel provoked
Him, His displeasure invoked
And were brought low for their sinning
Nevertheless in this thing
He regarded their affliction
When He hear their cry, each one
And He remembered covenant
He made with them, did relent [to punish them]
According to the multitude
Of His mercies, thus renewed
He made them that they be pitied
Of those who discomfited
Them, those who carried them captive
Set them free, and so they live
Save us, O Lord our God, gather
Us from heathen, grace confer
So we give thanks, your holy name
Triumph in your praise, your fame
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel
For ever and ever, tell
Through all ages, let peoples say
Amen, Praise the Lord today
