Yesterday I Met a Monster

Neville

Yesterday I Met a Monster

Yesterday, I met a monster

disguised as a man ..

He arrived in my clinic on

a British racing green

mobility scooter and was

bang on time too ..

Now I wouldn’t suggest he

was dressed

to impress, but rather to

shock and to

make sure he got noticed ..

However, he would

surely stand out in a crowd,

any crowd that is ..

Yesterday, I met a monster

dressed as a man ..

His clothes smelled of 1970’s

cologne and had

a well-worn sheen to them ..

He made me feel

dirty just by his, being there ..

He wore his

hair tied back beneath an old

bowler hat

and his beard was braided ..

By the way,

he never took that hat off

once and wore

far too many lapel badges

for my liking ..

Yesterday, I met a monster

who spoke like

a very well educated man ..

And who wore

his mighty collection of age

inappropriate

lapel badges, much like an

old soldier might

wear his campaign medals ..

He was clearly

also proud of the electronic

tagging device

strapped to his right ankle,

since he pursed

his lips and smiled when

I referred to it ..

Yesterday, I met a monster

who raped an

eight year old child then

assaulted two

others, all while they were

on holiday

in a tent by the sea with

their parents

apparently close by to them ..

The monster

in question, had only been

released on

supervised licence, a month

previously ..

Having served in excess of

twenty five years

of his life to date, behind bars ..

The monster

subsequently insisted he was

entirely innocent

of all charges, that he had no

recollection of it

and therefore, it must have

been someone else ..

The monster changed his story

several times

throughout that interview ..

He began to insist

it was the voices had told him ..

Then when that

failed to tease out a diagnosis ..

He began to cry

and claimed he was the victim ..

That all three,

of them, two girls and a boy

had egged him on ..

He was so good a liar, he was

almost convincing ..

But by the end of next month,

I am sure he

will go down again for a very

long time indeed ..

Yes, yesterday I met a monster ..

I just wish I had

then enough guts to have killed it ..

Hello dear Neville, you've been missed. This is really dark and having seen what happened in Sydney yesterday made this even darker, I guess any good psychology would know that we can only help those who want to be helped and those born pure evil unfortunately may never be able to change. An eye for an eye? With what is going on in the world right now, I'm thinking I wish it could all be fairies and father Christmas but in reality it's all so terribly dark. 🌹

Thank you my very dearest of Teddies .. Yes, I fear it will be quite some time before the sky is no longer sullied by dark clouds .. 🌹

If it wasn't such a heavy theme, I would say - ahh, so you met KP yesterday?!
I bet you knew I would say that. lol.

            • Neville

that heavy theme was not just another day at the office, but it was real enough to make me seriously think of renewing my shotgun licence ..

His beard was braided. Yuk I thought and as I read further, I imagined the horror of having to listen to the sickening stuff he was coming out with. Children egging him on. Nothing but an evil pervert. Yes a monster in your presence. Every parent’s nightmare. Such a dark write Neville, but there seems to be such a great deal of darkness at present. What a pity he was let out after 25 years. Who let him out, I ask? Your reality. What an awful yesterday, but what a powerful piece of writing. Great to see you back.

              • Neville

and every single word the bloomin truth, how I so much regret not being permitted to say any more than that, bar thanks a million Cassie .. Neville

As Teddy and Cassie have declared, you have been missed. The monsters are out there, and they will be dealt with in one fashion or another when their time comes. And may they get that what they give. Welcome back my friend. 👍

Strong words Neville. I just do not understand why anybody will harm children. If I had my way I would hang by their spheroids from a bridge and let the crows have them!
