Prayer Pleas

Tune: Wolvercote

(one tune to 'O Jesus, I have promised')

Colossians 1 v.9-14

***********

Praying for one another

Christian sister, brother

Desiring that each be filled

With knowledge of God's will

In all wisdom and spiritual

Understanding, the call

Of Christ to faithfully follow

And more of His life show

That we might live worthy here

Knowing the Lord is near

Be pleasing to Him, fruitful

In good works daily all

And increasing in knowledge

Of God, and encourage

Eacho other on to in Him grow

On this earth here below

Strengthened with all might, in accord

With His power assured

It glorious is, and unto

Enduring trials through

With all patience, longsuffering

Whatever life may bring

Accompanied with joyfulness

When troubled, pray and bless

Giving thanks to the Father

For He has made us sure

To take part of inheritance

Of saints in the light hence

Has delivered us from power

Of darkness, saved each hour

Translated us to kingdom

Of His dear Son, fulsome

In His Son we redemption

Have, 'tis true for each one

Through His blood, e'en forgiveness

Of sins, He does us bless

So labouring on daily

Spirit, fill completely

Our lives to serve and honour

You, on us grace confer

Tell me, does the body get stronger as the race gets longer?

Thanks 2. Well, the spiritual body might (our soul and spirit).

You continue in faithful hymns Orchi each reminiscent of scriptures and spiritual teachings. It seems hardly fair that your muse is a book as long as the Bible.
