No Certain Doubt
Every now and then she
wonders ..
Did he really save her voice
on some
newfangled digital device ..
Or did he
somehow merely trap it in
a pretty shell ..
Now that, would surely be
more romantic ..
Yet still the uncertainty of it
stalks her
and sometimes, in the dead
of night she
reaches out and calls a friend ..
Then seemingly,
history repeats itself again ..

Good write N.
I had my doubts of marrying KP, but she hid the water from my whisky. I got tipsy and said 'I do'! lol.
You have absolutely no taste do ya .. if you had, you surely woulda noticed something .. So come on, own up and don't be afraid to admit you got a drink problem as well .. 🍷
The safety of women is paramount. They need protecting from the violence and twisted minds of some of the male species. This poem gave me the chills and I started to think of stalkers and how frightening it would be for a woman on her own, anxious and afraid at night. And then my mind travelled elsewhere to women with mental health problems and that all this might be playing out in their minds. There is so much to ponder on this piece Neville. Different takes. Results the same. Frightened women. A poem of current times, so well penned which exercises the brain cells.
Glad to be of service Cassie & many thank you's for the thumbs up my lovely .. 😉👍
And the friend she called was you, yes? 😊
A gentleman never tells, does one .. but I won't ask you to second guess .. Cheers AP 🙂
I won't need to second guess. 😉👍🌹
Woahh 👍🏽
Ta for the thumbs up 😎👍
Intriguing words Neville, it is so awful that many ladies have problems like this because of the swineherd of men who see them as prey.
Andy
