The Death of Love

Teddy.15

My darling

if you have ever doubted my love

know that since you've been gone

my heart has too

lost within my very soul

I sleep alone

yet, I dream of you

the only thing I hold in my palms

are tears that bleed

from my grieving eyes

tears of love now lost forever

and as they slip through my fingers

so do you

my darling

if you ever have doubts of my love

know this…

even when the great raven visits me

from the shadows

of the great wrinkles of the moon

I will still await your return

I will wait

and I will wait, until

the great wrinkles in the moon

fade for the very last time

and I too am gone.

Beautiful sentiment Teddy. Never a love so strong that can not endure. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

            "I sleep alone
            yet, I dream of you"
A great line. In this plea for lost love, whether lost by distance or by other forces, there is a commitment that extends beyond time and space.
            "and I will wait, until
the great wrinkles in the moon
fade for the very last time
and I too am gone." Romantic and a commitment that few would be willing to issue in this day and age of fickle relationships. Nicely done Teddy.

In this case soulmates ripped apart far too early because one died, two of my best friends inseparable but now are. I totally agree with your reflection on today's love being fickle, dear sorrenbarret it's not easy to find a soulmate either so when you see this type of pain in people you love it does leave a great deal of a lesson. Thank you my dear friend. 🌹

Dear Teddy, beautiful words of undying love. Perfectly penned from a gifted poet. A treat to read. Your posted image, a visual match for the written word. Have a lovely Monday poet. 🌹

It really is undying love, I doubt my friend will ever even want anyone else, I have never seen him cry, or be angry. We are a very big group of friends but he seems to stay strong for us. ❀️ It's been 8 years now but will always feel just like yesterday my heart broke the day she died. 🌹 Thank you so much my dear Cassie. ❀️

I feel your pain. Eight years is a long time to feel that raw. All I can hope is, it starts to soften. My younger sis lost her husband three years ago. Untimely with COVID. I know she will never have another relationship. That pains me, but she is happy with her memories. Have a bouquet of flowers Teddy. πŸŒΈπŸŒΉπŸ’
