She Loved Him Because ..
She loved him because
he wrote
and he spoke of such
little things ..
Those, that might have
otherwise
been missed or gone
under the radar,
or entirely unheard of ..
She loved him,
because he would fight
for the underdog,
the misunderstood,
the unloved
and likewise, deprived ..
She loved him
because, he listened
to the words of
young children and was
never afraid
to admit on occasion he
spoke to trees,
to flowers and the birds
in his garden ..
She loved him because,
he stayed
by her side, when it all
went wrong ..
Yet still, he reminded her
daily, time and again
that he still loved her both
madly and greatly
and she, loved him too
of course ..
After all, he was her rock
and her mountain
and she could not resist nor
deny her pride
or great affections for him ..
And neither
would have it any other way ..

Absolutely amazing poetry. All about strong bonds and love. At first I believed it was about marriage, but no I think this is maternal, a mother’s love for her son and his love for her. Come what may. It touched my heart today as I took the most gentle of my loves for his appointments. It clicked as he got out of the car and said, I love you Nan so much.
You do write such very good poetry Neville. Unconditional love, I felt here.
What a heart warming honour you have bestowed on my little scribble Cassie, I really can’t thank you enough my true and treasured friend .. Neville
Love this, Neville. I found it really moving.
I am extremely honoured Tom thank you 😎👍
Too much, Neville. I think I'm loved for approx. a quarter of those qualities...the rest I aspire to... but get away with a good behaviour bond.....
Don't mind me - I'd go back to Cassie if I were you.
That would make you one of them three quarters empty kinda fun guys who enjoy nothing more than bouncing around in purpose built rubber rooms now .wouldn’t it .. maybe .. thanks muchly ..
Just all too aware of my imperfections...
You really are one cool dog ..
....he listened
to the words of
young children and was
never afraid
to admit on occasion he
spoke to trees....
Wish to meet more people who are like this, in this lifetime!
Next time you pass by my coordinates, just be sure to pop in for a strong cup of tea and a scone with jam and clotted cream .. thank you, Neville
