Now, nope, not an 18+ poem
Despite the title
Of anything hot, sleazy, or swoony
Nothing too 'exciting' now, advises Fido!
It's me in my illness
Not knowing if I will have a night sweat or not
And I'm not the only one
Infirm in the house
I know the real cause for me -
Nightmares of KP and her trout-like advances!
Sends me into a twirl
A sort of hot flush
Have to wash the sheets yet
All yucky and soaking
Even change them in middle of the night
I've resumed some singing though
Ahh - 'so you're not getting better', you say
We're all mucking in
The sick, or just-recovered ones
Helping the other sick ones
We can't blame the month in itself
As a 'mensis horribilis'
(Mensis - Latin for month, singular)
Though it happened
It all started off the end of last month

sorry to learn of your menses Mr. O
but we all have our own nemesis ..
Thanks N. I'm delirious now through illness - prattling off in Latin!
That needs to go!
Not your sense of humour though.
Thanks 2.
The end of last month? Was this a preparation for April fools? Or was it an Easter resurrection you were planning ?Good one Orchi.
Thanks SB.
Its not a 'monthly' problem is it Orchi? LOL
