('Once, only once, and once for all')
Psalm 40 v.8-11
*********
Lord, may your will be our delight
And pleasing in our sight
Your laws be within our hearts, we
Your humble servants be
May we proclaim your righteousness
Reach out to others, bless
Not refrain to gospel news share
Treasures beyond compare
Not hide your righteousness within
Our hearts, show kith and kin
And too declare your faithfulness
And salvation, no less
Not conceal your loving kindness
But witness and confess
To all people, and Lord, withhold
Not your grace, us enfold
Continue your tender mercies
To us, each still them sees
Let them and your truth us all keep
Preserve us, we your sheep

Yep, this is most certainly a hymn poem in 8686
Thanks N for checking it out. Any rogue syllables inserted or omitted?
Barrr
Brrr? or Bahh?!
Bit of a bossy boots, aren't you when you speak to the geezer upstairs.....
Thanks D. It can seem so, in some of the Psalms - a bit of bossiness. It's pleas, and prayers to Him really.
Well a bit of plain speaking across the ether would do no harm, with less ambiguity. Some people who fall to their knees haven't got time for the subtleties, surely (though wot do I know...since my knees are far too tender to withstand that kind of activity).
Yes, bit embarrassing in some Service books where it says 'Kneel'. Maybe tut-tutting of 'Why isn't he/she kneeling?' But some can't, through joint pain, etc.
The spreader of good news is alwasy welcome. Good write Orchi.
Thanks SB.
Beautiful write Orchidee, I feel reassured!
Thanks M.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
