sorenbarrett

Crawling before walking through this garden of life

I learned to run and jump with joy

Spring's sunshine blossoms overcoming strife

Each day unwrapping a new toy

In summer's glow fruit did grow

Love's sap filled my limbs

My seeds falling to the ground below

sprouting new life where hope begins

In fall winds I stumbled and fell

storms my branches broke

Approaching dark skies tell

of future's approaching icy stroke

With snows, bowed unable to stand,

bent again I crawl on knees and hand,

laying prostrate on barren land,

awaiting spring's coming demand

The like button seems not to work. I absolutely love this, I make mistakes every day and every day I learn from them, your incredible pen ink always leaves me breath taken with your poetic way of showing your imagery and I always find such emotion. Truly a wonderful poet and a pleasure to read. Your last lines so perfect happy may day dear sorrenbarret.🌹

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. Once again I got flustered and put my comment to you in a comment to myself. So it is not only the like button that is not working but my own head. Thanks again Teddy your words are so appreciated.

Even I can understand a metaphor when it points to the journey so clearly. Thanks Soren.
I enjoyed the optimism embodied in the wait for another spring.
