My Side

Kylie the 7th grade female poet

So many things I want to say

my thoughts in my head won't go away
you say I made life a living hell
well I'm surprised you can't tell
You hurt me too. I'm trying to forgive.
but I'll be honest it's a hard to live.
You did things too. I will not lie.
And maybe I need to clarify
I want to yell and scream and shout;
but I just can't let it all out.
I was pushy, I gossiped, I was excluding?
Do you know what you were doing?
you pushed me around and told me what to do.
but somehow it only counts for you.
Y'all used to tell me all the time
of people who were more sour than a lime.
but now it's me you talk about
letting all of your rage out.
Saying I excluded you.
Well, two of y'all did that too
constantly complaining to the third.
Why not me? I'm not a mockingbird.
I would respect your wishes, please just ask.
we could have made this friendship last.
But no, everything has to go your way.
Y'all probably don't want me to stay.
I want to leave. I really do.
But I think I might be stuck with you.
My mom knows what you did
she's tight like a bottle lid.
She knows your secret, everyone does.
I hope it doesn't cause a fuss.
We could call it a truss and be friends again.
Or we could let this meet its end.
The choice is up to you
I don't care what you do.
But if you say no, I won't fight;
However, I'll be the first to say goodbye.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem was written by me when I was blamed for many things I did to old friends. Although I did these things They also did them to me. I was bored in class one day and chose to write this poem, many friends and family of mine told me this poem was very emotional and good. I decided to read this to one of the old friends and she apologized as well and we consider each other acquaintances. I hope you enjoy this poem and other poems I post in the future.

I started writing poems around 9 and you being in 7th grade makes me know how U feel ( I'm also a girl btw )... I'm actually 16 rn and I know the poem I wrote which U commented on makes me sound way older lol I usually add really good endings to my poems. You should really write more poems keep going!!!

It sounds like someone can keep a secret, but the people they tell like to gossip!

Sort of, these girls I had problems with always complained to one another about how pushy I was; however, I would have stopped if they asked but the didn't instead they gossiped about me and talked about how awful I was

this poem was very emotional and as a teenanger myself I know how it feels but just know there will be someone who will come along and who will be a good friend (im saying this from personal experience)
