The Spilling of Orion’s Last Great Secret

The Spilling of Orion’s Last Great Secret

Look beyond the lark,

toward

those dark foreboding

angry skies ..

There, upon the brow

where crazy,

ancient undulations

hide from view

a flimsy silvered scarf ..

More amorphous

than mercury ever was ..

Yet know this,

her majesty resides

there still,

reclined across the nape

and back of

our lord, Orion’s nebula ..

Star gazing in the heavens looking for Orion’s Belt. Her Majesty must be a very close neighbour. I reckon a dazzler of a star. . Can you see it without a telescope? What’s the secret Neville? Just asking as a star gazer myself:) Happy Tuesday.

And that is just a small part of our galaxy, never mind the billions of others in our own universe. And……….
        Thanks Neville.

"To whom will you compare me?
or who is my equal?" Say the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
          Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls them all by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

I'll take that as a possible yes, but if I do happen to be wrong and I don't mind admitting that I was once .. I think it was around 1972 or 3 then please forgive me and turn the other cheek ..
