Musical Peace.

Goldfinch60

Once more it has happened,

The radio is playing,

A piece of music is played

And I am taken once more,

Taken to that place of wonder,

That wonder that music causes,

Causes in my life.

The notes from the piano

Floated into my heart

Bringing me such joy,

Such joy in my life.

Music is so calming

It is where I go for peace,

So my love of music

Brings me peace all the while.

Did we - you and I - finish Schuman's Unfinished Symphony?!

      • Goldfinch60

Probably not as that was Schubert's eighth symphony, not Shumann who only wrote 4 symphonies.

Poetry a close kin to music in that it has meter and evokes emotion as well. No wonder that you write as well. Music has a special place in my heart as well and I find myself composing poetry while listening to music.

Great write Andy. Many times one of my poems comes from me hearing the melody to music that just captures something inside me and I feel challenged to try to find out what it is. 😉👍

This seems to be a musical day, and it couldn't be better. The healing properties of music know no boundaries. Thank you dear Andy for once again gifting us with something wonderful!!!

Thank you Bella, music is in my life all day. When my daughter came in our home one day the first thing she said was, "Why isn't there any music playing?"

Do you know what I miss, I miss capital radio I literally could sing every song played. And when on the rare occasion I do hear something it brings me immediately home dear Andy. 🌹
