Why Wars?

Goldfinch60

Throughout the world

Fighting goes on,

But why?

Why are these wars happening?

So many killed,

So many innocent people dead,

Dead because someone wants more,

Wants more for themselves

In a world that has plenty.

But those who have most

Will not share it,

Share it with those who need,

Who need help in this world.

“War is created by people,

People too old to fight,

For those too young,

Too young to die”

It's madness. No other species in creation does it. Wild animals kill other animals for food, but that's not the same.
It's mankind's basic sinful nature, though some say it's old-fashioned to talk about 'sin' these days.

    • Goldfinch60

So true Orchi, it is absolute madness.

Greed mostly, and lack of feeling. 🌹

        Very true Teddy.

It’s all about greed. History continually repeats itself. No lessons learned and in the meantime the death toll and misery rocket. Having said that Andy I wish you the brightest of Thursdays.

        • Goldfinch60

Totally agree Cassie, thank you for you comment.

True Andy sharing is not an innate human quality for most of us. I ask this of my self every time I pass someone less fortunate than myself in the street and wonder why I don't give him more from my pocket. Good write Andy.

Yes there are many willing to give to others soren but those in power do not believe in that virtue. Thank you for your comment.

Unfortunately it's often like an other plague,
            It dies itself out.
This one seems bigger with society fracturing.
            Peace be with you, always.

            • Goldfinch60

              Very true 2781.

Peace be with you as well.

I think you have raised the eternal question.Sadly no-one has a good answer.Made me think.Well done

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you David, I hope they find the answer one day.

Goof write, Andy. Answers not simple.
Who wants what when and why?

sadly, I'm not sure it will ever change
