Word of the Lord came to, see

Jeremiah, prophet he

Said, before I did you make

Set you apart for my sake

 

Even before you were born

I knew you before that morn

When you were born on this earth

To share of my message-wroth

 

Jeremiah, he replied

I a child, it not denied

O Lord God, I cannot speak

E'en if my state humble, meek

 

The Lord said, Say not tath you

Are a child, for I shall too

Empower you for to go

Speak my words, so people know

 

Fear not, for my words I give

Unto you, and you shall live

I shall save you and shall keep

You within my fold, my sheep

 

I have set you o'er nations

Men and women, all stations

To root out, pull down, destroy

Rescue you from evil ploys

 

And to throw down, and to build

Speaking of all I have willed

And to plant, good things shall grow

My prospering blessings flow
