I pulled on a cobweb and the roof fell in
covered in bats dust and rats
Roaches and spiders in a coal bin
now come the gnats
Inside my shirt a fly did flirt
with the hairs on my chest
Out of a sore a millipede did squirt
joining in with the rest
I scratched at the fleas
My mouth full of worms wouldn't let me scream
The gooey filth of a sneeze
wrapped in a child's dream

Oh how magnificent and terribly terrible all at once, I have child hood dreams 3 of which I had repeated I remember them even today. One was a witch chasing me up stair case as my feet glued to the stairs, an airplane upside down and a dream where I'm in a place which is always the same place every time I dreamt it this one I still have. 🌹 wonderful imagery in this fab poetry.
Thanks so much Teddy for the review and comment this one started as the first line and then one silly image followed the next as a patchwork quilt of past memories. I appreciate the review and most kind words friend.
A fine write SB. So that why KP scratches - she got fleas! lol.
Thanks Orchi don't get too close they can jump a long ways.
I have encountered one or two of those freeloaders Soren, but never all at once. yuk!. I do hope an acceptable level of hygiene exists now. I am about to retire to bed; thanks for making my night so tranquil..........
Thanks for the read Dave. Sweet dreams.
The strange places we wander in sleep, and the inexplicable stories our brain invents, a dreamscape magical, mystical, frightening, all rolled up in your eloquent words. Loved it!
So glad you stopped by Bella. Thank you for your read and most kind comments.
