Poor Poet

Teddy.15

Mammoth tusk

found in earth's dark

fourteen thousand years it's laid

I wonder how

long it will be until

someone finds me?

lost within my very own fossil

aching for someone to

find my funny bones

“acknowledgment”

forever wondering

if, and when

will I ever be found?

Now Teddy here is a thought that I think many have. Maybe the technology will be such that they will clone who they find and bring back to life the dead. But then I see a metaphor in this as well and we are all living fossils as well in a nonphysical sense. We all need to be found by others and ourselves. Enjoyed the read as always Teddy.

      Thank you dearest sorrenbarret 🌹

Oh Teddy. Good morning to you. Your poem made me chuckle. Isn’t it amazing what tech can do? All that problem solving from the past and yet no help for some in the present 😀. There’s got to be a money spinning opportunity lol. Have a lovely day Teddy. 🌹

Thank you dear Cassie, chuckle away I'm so glad I made you chuckle, as you have just made me do the same. 🌹

Sometimes Teddy you creep me out a little…. You make odd connections which cause me to think, and at other times….
        I think I enjoy the punishment….

I like fun too you know!! The most surreal of all your picture choices, I think. Still don't know how you find 'em.

I always use the word "paintings" this one is actually called the poor poet I guess I'm lucky with my key words. And the data on Google may vary from country to country and continent. 🤗

Here's a thought - If there's a chance at a second passing through life, would you take it? My thought is, No. Thank you, once was enough. Your poem will cause lots of folks to think on this same subject. It was brief but powerful. Much enjoyed by me. - Phil A.

                • Teddy.15

I would definitely take it if I was to be a rich princess, lol oh thank you dear Phil, you bring me such a smile. 🌹

I think that when your fossilized remains are unearthed thousands of years in the future, there will be clasped within your bony fingers the last and most perfect poem you've written. It will be barely legible, but enough to know that here lies the charm and wit of one who deserves to be remembered. Love this poem!
