They say that age is the price we pay for experience.
When we first find out as a child that floors are hard and
Hurt when you when you fall.
When parents yell as we get near the fire, we end up in tears
Wondering if they love us.
As we get older our experiences grow and make us
Supposedly much wiser than we were before.
The biggest lessons we learn
Are from our many mistakes that we make as we go
Along life’s rocky road.
It’s not only age that pays for the curve of our learning.
We also deliberately take the choice that we know is wrong
Making a choice that we
Know is wrong in our hearts and minds but
Is right for others
If there wasn’t a price we wouldn’t know,
We’ve learned something.

A fine write Gold.
Erm, what is the price of fish these days? Can 'Biggles' tell us?!
Thanks Orchi.
You voting for 'Biggles'?!
I am still learning!
We always are 2781.

It is true that experience builds knowledge and character in many cases. Unfortunately others often don't see this until they too have passed the same way. Good write Andy.
Very true soren and yes some just do not see it as they pass by.

Most kind Teddy, thank you.

Wise words. That’s why I smile at the 30 somethings who think they have it all figured out!
Thank you John. Yes they have no idea about life.
