Tune: Lancashire
('The day of resurrection')
Colossians 1 v.15-18
********
Christ, pre-eminent, Lord be
And is the image, see
Of the invisible God
This earthly path He trod
He the first in rank over
Every creature He, sure
For by Him were all things made
Created, formed, outlaid
All that are in heaven, too
All that on earth we view
Visible and invisible
Earthly, celestial
Whether they thrones, dominions
Rulers, powers, each ones
All created by and through Him
Not by luck, fate or whim
And He is before all things
Let praises joyful ring
And by Him all things consist
A thing He has not missed
he the head of the body
The church, the truth this be
He the beginning, first raised
From dead, his power displayed

I aint going to argue .. just in case ..
Thanks N. Well, you can, though it may be an 'argument' in a technical or academic sense - meaning some reasoned discussion or debate.
But - since when was I intelligent with only me 3 brain cells to use?! lol.
I wonder how you can be in the image of someone invisible. Oh well my limited brain finds a lot of things hard to comprehend. Nicely written Orchi.
Thanks SB. Yes, a bit of a mystery, now I come to think about it.
Maybe meaning - He is the image of one who is invisible to human eyes. Or what God would be like, if He was visible to us - his character, attitudes, etc.
Then again, it's said 'God is a Spirit', though Jesus is God made man, fully human and fully divine - that's my belief.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
