Stars

Teddy.15

Oh, nine spheres of wonder
how beautiful you shine
lighting my heart
when I look up at night’s sky

you’re so far away
yet always in my dreams
when the sun goes to bed
and moon shines her beams

the way that Orion and the Saucepan does peer
behind clouds maybe, just maybe you’re near?

when I look up to you, on a warm summer's night
heart fluttering fiercely, I simply just sigh

even on nights, that I’m sad and alone
you, my stars in paradise
shine down from beyond.

Maybe don't come to the antipodes, Teddy - could be dangerous, You would sigh yourself into a million pieces..... or perhaps you would revel in the mystery and glory of it all....

The deep emotional aspect of your piece is not lost on me, by the way....

Nothing like star gazing to connect us to our deepest emotions. An opportunity to lose ourselves in the quiet and kind night. Such beautiful expression dear Teddy. Love your posted image too.

Taken literally there are 7 planets excluding earth and the sun and the moon which could stand for the spheres of wonder but then you speak of constellations of which there are 88 visible from earth so I take this metaphorically. Orion the symbol of transition from life to death while the sauce pan I take to be the big dipper symbolizing the infinite, eternal giving guidance and enlightenment. Great images to "light my heart"
              "youโ€™re so far away
              yet always in my dreams
when the sun goes to bed
              and moon shines her beams"
takes on new meaning from a soul in darkness guided by Isis light of the night. Finished with a great ending
"even on nights, that Iโ€™m sad and alone
              you, my stars in paradise
              shine down from beyond."
It shows that hope is present in this guiding light. Brilliant!
