A smile she hides

Kayla Jackson

She sees him in passing

thumps to the chest

eyes to the floor

to message weighs heavy

to call weighs more

It was a love she will never hold again

it was deep, it was real

but she closed the door

he deserved better

he deserved more

as she sits deep inside herself

no value and in the dark

her soul cries

she isn't worth it

she isn't more

a piece of her dies

as she sits there waiting

with a smile she hides

I think maybe she is worth it and I feel the weight transferred to her was actually his plan along. He failed her and pompously hides that with a chest thump that actually exposes him as the charlatan that slid the weight of his shortcomings into her. Perhaps her only fault is trusting a selfish fuck that tucks his problems and faults into the waistband of a goodhearted soul that wants to believe and he abused her kindness.
    Nice write goood read

Yes, I think so also. He dumped all his burdens on her, manipulated her into believing she was the problem.
