Death is stalking me.
It watches me play cards,
smoke cigarettes, and
drink beer.
It took my parents, two
brothers, and all my friends.
It got Chris last week.
20 bottles of whiskey in
seven days, I suppose that
would kill anyone.
They found him on the
railroad tracks.
Death is stalking me.
I won't cheat it.
I won't escape it;
but before it gets me,
I bet I finish
this poem.

Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.
Tremendous. Thank you so much for reading.
Ain't mortality shit? However, necessary. But you did finish the poem - no point in letting something like death grind you down. LOL lol.............
Exactly. Much appreciated. Thank you, Dave.
I believe it is behind us all dear Thomas, just ready to push us over the edge 🤣
Lol. Yes. Thank you, sweet Teddy.
You finished the poem Thomas and I am sure there will be many, many more.
