Troll Time (satire)

Teddy.15

Beware, beware
they're hiding everywhere
some are pretty some are grand
some are green
and some eat sand

when they come
you'll know it's them
the smell they leave with froffing flem

they'll beat you down
and make you sad
They'll always be forever glad

for this I know
I've known, some time...

these trolls
they don't know
how to rhyme.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We all meet them, from time to time. I chose the word flem, even though officially it's Phlegm. I found this art by accident and I just loved it so much I had to write something.

They are all around and create so much unhappiness and sorrow.

    Andy

    • Teddy.15

Very recently I had my own, yes it's a sad thing to know dear Andy, and not just on websites they are also in our real lives too. Thank you so much for coming by to leave this thoughtful review. 🌹

Good morning Teddy. There is nothing funny about trolls. They are everywhere and I too have been trolled in the past. Two methods of dealing with it. You either give them the silent treatment or call them out. Ignoring them works well. No interaction and they will get bored and go away. Your posted picture is green and very scary. Have a happy Wednesday. 🌹

Yes I have actually done both, although I do believe some just have mental.problems others can just enjoy what they are doing. We live in a world that it's easy to troll but the victim doesn't have to take it, ignoring is really hard but I do agree, I'm a person who believes in wrong and right and of justice. One tried to ruin a poem of mine in a competition and to be honest I was surprised at the very lengths they went to considering I feel I've already won just being in that competition in the first place, you are right trolls aren't funny at all. I've been on the internet for 15 years sharing my scribbles and I've had my fair share. Thank you dearest Cassie, have a wonderful day 🌹

I had someone steal my avatar once and then go round leaving nasty comments on my friends posts. Fortunately my friends called the person out. It turned out to be a teenager who didn’t like her mum and I reminded her of her mum. She even left comments about bathing my grandchildren in an acid bath. Vile!! How awful to try and ruin your competition entry. Smacks of real green envy to me. Must be scared of your shining talent Teddy. Hope you win:)

Oh my goodness, I would have never even imagined such a nasty thing to do to you dear Cassie, I don't like interacting with very young poets because I'm a teacher and I find that the ones I've met even on this site are trolls who pretend to be young or young with deep problems which as you have just confirmed my own thoughts. Wow revelations better out than in, I also have a young son but even though he is really smart and wrote a poem I would never allow him to have an account online at least until he is 16, I did find when in posted his beautiful poem here for mother's day that was when the trolling appeared. Sad but we must never let the green eyed monsters of any website or indeed a person standing next to us win. Thank you I'm so very grateful for your honesty and of course your talents speak for themselves so I guess we have to expect the unwanted attention. Thank you. 🌹

A fun or maybe not so fun read if one has had experience with them. Flem a curious choice that make me wonder about its origin. Was the person Flemish? Loved the poem Teddy

          • Teddy.15

Trolls spit and froth at the mouth in my opinion, yes dear sorrenbarret as I've written with humour trolls are not fun flem as I have said in my notes used my poetic licence because its satire. Thank you for coming by to my scribbles 🌹 ps I found the art whilst fishing for something else so I couldn't pass up an opportunity to use it and it seems to fit.

Don't you be doing that finding stuff randomly any more, please Teddy. I've admired your choice of pictures more than once, however this one may well give me nightmares!!
As for trolls, I ain't got nothing ..... 😇😊!! The very least I can say is that I have no need as I will always say what I have to say upfront. And it has got me into much trouble over the years...but to hell with that - it is the only way I know how to go.

            • Teddy.15

You are not a troll , I knew you would love this art. Thank you dear Dave. 🌹 Trolls are those with multiple accounts on the same website that do much more than just liking their own work. Enough said. Anyway I got a troll poem that even I like, so today I'm grateful to them. lol

Not being on social media I have not encountered trolls on the internet. However, I have seen them at times in real life, and they are reprehensible. Now I really want to stay far away from cyberspace, thank you for the warning. Great pic, I think I may have seen this guy at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

                • Teddy.15

dear Bella this is social media, where we can interact with strangers, happy to know you have never had a troll dear friend. Thanks for.your fun review. 🌹
