Wilden Free

 

I don’t like seeing

animals

   in cages or in zoos ..

I don’t like

plants in troughs,

   or in pots ..

They all belong in

jungles,

   or deserts surely ..

Or maybe

some other wilden

natural

habitat, free to roam

and bloom

   somewhere like us ..

On our way to

   getting hopelessly lost ..

    Run free but subject to the elements becoming even more elemental due to climate change? Given some physical support, the mind (plant minds, perhaps?) are left free to seek.

      The older I get, the more I want to see wild and free, no more zoos for me, and weeds that spring up in my yard with flowered tips are just fine with me. You've touched on a sentiment that is very near and dear to my heart and I thank you my friend for this gem of a poem.

                Im so happy that more people start to realize the brutality of the zoo! Animals should be left to their natural habitat they are not an amusement for humans! I believe the same goes for circuses . Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this one I enjoyed it very much
