A dog cries with its eyes
mirrors that reflect what resides inside
No tears to express its fears
without words no emotion does it hide
No lies in its sighs
Millennia of companionship supplies
it hears with a seer's ears
suffering or jubilation for us it cries
In fur bearing angel guise it complies
under hairy hide it's shining pride
sharing sneers and jeers
to demon or angel unquestioning loyalty does provide
Allies until the day it dies
by a cold hand left tied outside
Its years in a flash disappears
from life too soon untied
