Life has always given me many obstacles and each time I've managed to keep pushing through. Mind over matter mixed with no pain no gain because what doesn't kill us makes us strong!
Yet this obstruction is something my mind can't get my body to just plough on, it's stuck in limbo where we've never really been before.
This journey to understand I'm not my thoughts and emotions, although every part of them feels beautifully devastatingly real.
From the smell of food that I can't currently consume, to my 10 day old son I've seen for about the same in hours! Getting pictures of changing moments that will forever be lost to me.
The word "appreciation" truly doesn't come close, for the few hours we studied each others faces for me to still see him when my eyes are closed.
May this validation of my pain bring my body and spirit back to balance, to help heal from this infection with an extra kick from the antibiotics.
I know no moments last forever and really look forward to being back with my family and incredible friends!
Yet for now my gratitude is for the wonderful nurses who chose to help look after us when we're at our most vulnerable and emotional.
I acknowledge all things happen in their own time, I breathe and release waiting to go back to mine.
