And as she slowly lands
upon ground, this time
without my humble request
a surprise, if ever I had one
having her here
without a formal invitation
was truly remarkable
her eyes piercing
even more so than usual
I never dare
to look directly at them
but I know they are
fifteen carat diamonds
and the aura surrounding us
tells me of
her ancient beauty
I just know, she’s a noble being
and today
there's even more
of a sparkle than usual
even on the walls, in the room
so incredibly bright
the sun was eclipsed
a gracious atmosphere
of pride and of joy
even though I’d give anything
for a mere glimpse of her smile
my head was locked down
simply because I was mesmerized
by her feathered wings
graciously laid on the ground
like cream silk
her energy as warm
and reassuring as always
and for once…
she wasn’t here to comfort me
she wasn’t here to hold my hand
she was simply here
to celebrate with me
and so we danced.

a reflection written as only you know how Teddy.
and so we danced....
my Sunday mood now lifted.
And dance we did my dearest Melvin, thank you dear friend. Keep that mood lifted for me. 🌹
Beautiful. I love the way you painted this scene with your words.
Thank you so much dearest Thomas, 🌹
At first given your last poem I thought of a humming bird then came the thought of a reflection a great thought a perfect unison in dance with one's reflection.
Probably one of the most beautiful things ever said to me dear sorrenbarret thank you dear friend. 🌹
However much I refuse to consider angels Teddy, your poem forced me to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the spirit and the dance.😌
Thank you so much dear Dave 🌹
