Howl

Miss_Dreamer

Today I started screaming

And a scream that has been building up for years

Came out as a high pitched squeal

Even now I couldn't scream, it confirmed all my fears

So I tried again

I screamed until I couldn't breathe anymore

And I felt my voice chords strain

But the sould deep howling I wanted to expell

Stayed stuck within my chest, my efforts in vain

Desperate for relief I tried again

I screamed and screamed with an urgency that's hard to explain

Until my voice had gone hoarse and no sound left my lips

And it was clear to me that in my plight to be heard, I'd lost my voice once again
