Peace Promises

Tune: Uplifted Eyes - or Davos

('I lift my eyes to the quiet hills')

John 20 v.19-23

******

Peace, peace, the risen Lord appears

To quell the disciples fears

he stands in the midst, Peace, unto you

'Tis me, my hands, feet, side view

Then were they glad when they Him saw

Alive now for evermore

Again He says, Peace unto you

It is me, my presence true

As my Father has sent me, now so

I send you out for to go

Receive the Spirit, He holy, pure

And full rich of treasure-store

Whose sins you forgive, forgiven

They shall be so, even then

Whose sins you retain, they retained

Be, by your word these [things] ordained

Thanks Gold. Peace in places maybe, even if not world peace.
