Pursuing Peace

orchidee

Tune: Gott Ein Vater

(one tune to 'Faithful vigil ended')

**********

Lord help me (us) to bring peace

And cause strivings cease

To do what we can, see

Promote harmony

Fears and stresses be gone

Praeyr and praise be done

Seeking your peace to bring

Unto everything

Calm our anger, fretful

We may be, but all

In your plans are working

You our Lord and King

Comfort and restoring

On your healing wing

You do bring, and forgive

Us, so we shall live

Where there be confusion

Deceit, delusion

Bring your truth, clarity

That we all plain see

Now there is a hymn I can go for. Yes peace is what I look for and if I prayed would pray for. Nicely don Orchi

I am sorry to say this, but as long as there have been humans there have been wars. Hard for me to drum up much optimism. Good work though.

Thanks Dan. Yes, always been wars. That's the trouble - human greed, selfishness, fightings, etc.

Very true words Orchi, we need peace to be brought to this world.
